Using an HR1 grant award, PeaceHealth Ketchikan Medical Center (PHKMC) proposes to:
1. establish the first robotic-assisted, minimally invasive surgical capability in rural
Southern Southeast Alaska and,
2. with the above technology, expand specialty surgical services in orthopedics,
gastroenterology, urology, gynecology, and general surgery, thereby reducing
unnecessary out-migration.
