Description:
The Kenai Peninsula Borough is considering the purchase of three parcels of land, two of which has buildings on them that are adjacent to Central Peninsula Hospital. This acquistion is for future use by the hospital should it be needed. The purchase of the three parcels is estimated to be $2.5M.
Notes:
Costs associated with the purchase of land and buildings for future use as a health care facility are not subject to CON review until construction of the facility. The cost of the land and buildings will need to be included with construction, renovation, and equipment costs should Central Peninsula Hospital use them in the future and costs are over the CON threshold at the time of construction.
