A request for determination was received from Alaska Regional Hospital (ARH) regarding of the purchase of Alaska Open Imaging Center's (AOIC) offices in Anchorage, Wasilla, and Soldotna. ARH will also be purchasing and relocating AOIC's MRI from Fairbanks to Wasilla office at a cost of $976,350 . A CON is not required for purchase of the facilities and a CON is not required for the MRI scanner because it is under the current threshold.

On 9/9/2008 a request for determination was received from Alaska Regional Hospital (ARH) regarding their purchase of Alaska Open Imaging Center (AOIC) offices in Anchorage, Wasilla, and Soldotna. ARH is also purchasing and re-locating AOIC's MRI unit from Fairbanks to Wasilla. On 11/3/08 the Commissioner determined that CON regulations did not apply to the purchase of existing facilities and that the costs of purchasing and relocating the MRI is under the threshold.
