Concurrent review with Liberty. Fresenius Medical Care is proposing to construct a 7 Station Dialysis Facility in Soldotna to serve the Kenai Peninsula Borough. The total cost of the project is $2,566,998 with $1,186,278 for construction and $1,380,720 for fair market value of leased equipment and building. The estimated completion date for the project is late fall of 2008.

The Department has recevied an certficate of need application for the project described above. On June 27, 2007 the department received a letter from Liberty Dialysis - Alaska LLC stating their intent to submit a competing application for dialysis services in Soldotna. On July 31, 2007 the Fresenius application was declared complete. On November 15, 2007 the competing application was declared complete and the public comment opened.
