Description:
Alaska Regional Hospital proposes to simultaneously build and operate two freestanding emergency departments (FSEDs) within the Municipality of Anchorage; one in Eagle River and one in South Anchorage. Each facility will be built with eight treatment rooms and will contain 10,700 SF. Each FSED will be new construction and consist of a single story building. Total project cost is $29,394,478. The estimate project completion date for both FSEDs is spring 2016.


Notes:
In accordance with AS 18.07 and 7 AAC 07, Alaska Regional Hospital’s request for a CON is denied. Providence Alaska Medical Center’s request for a Certificate of Need (CON) for its Emergency Department Expansion Project is approved, in part. PAMC is authorized to construct eight emergency department treatment rooms at its Anchorage, Alaska facility.
